About Our Client
The client is a small businessperson from Canada who has been operating a tour and taxi business for a few years now. As he started to expand his business, he encountered numerous challenges, particularly in managing his cars and vans. Lacking the formal system, he had problems with vehicle tracking, driver organization and management, and company organization in general. So he wants fleet management software for this taxi, driver, and for his business.
Problems
The car rental business for their tour and taxi service also had several problems, which included managing a large number of cars and vans. It was difficult for them to identify the location of cars, to plan the best routes to take, and on matters concerning fuel, they lacked control over operational expenses. Also, daily control of driver behavior and response to certain problems, when they occurred, were difficult without a cohesive system in place. There were these inefficiencies that the client had been experiencing and that led to high costs, therefore, to overcome these challenges, the client resorted to using fleet management software that would improve fleet management and real-time tracking, among other things.
Solutions
To address his problems, through our accumulated years of knowledge in transportation software solutions, we developed GPS-based fleet management software.
- Real-Time GPS Tracking: By using our solution, he can have access to details of any vehicle he owns and evaluate each vehicle’s location and the right place to get to.
- Driver Management via Taxi Driver Application: It was designed so that he could also have a drivers’ specific mobile application for monitoring their behaviors, drive time, and schedules.
- Web-Based Admin Panel: The admin panel is the principal place where all the information concerning the fleet, its status, maintenance schedule, and much more is presented to him.
- Mobile App for Fleet Management: The mobile application is beneficial for him as it allows him to manage his fleets while on the move. He can monitor cars, allocate tasks, and use necessary documentation right from the comfort of his cell phone.
- Fuel and Cost Management: Another way through which Tracklime has helped cut down on operational expenses is through the conservation of fuel through the tracking of routes and driving patterns.
- Driver Behavior Monitoring: It plays a role in assisting in deterring any abnormal activities through alerting and reporting on the driving behavior, guaranteeing that drivers do not violate set policies.
Results
Since he started using new tracking and management technologies, he has revamped his business with more productivity, less fuel usage, higher driver responsibility, and, of course, fewer administrative charges. The drivers’ efficiency has generally risen due to increased concentration on business development, effective route optimization, and enhanced management of automated processes, thus diminishing vehicle misuse and notable cost cutting.
